The medical technology company Micropos Medical has signed an agreement with Velindre Cancer Center at the University Hospital in Cardiff for the implementation of the Raypilot System for radiation therapy for prostate cancer. The collaboration means that Dr. Nachi Palaniappan and his team will introduce ASBRT with the goal of establishing the workflow and, in the long term, making the method part of standard care. "Within prostate cancer care, the focus today is increasingly on quality of life after treatment. ASBRT shows very good results with fewer side effects, while the treatment can be completed in only three to five days," says Micropos Medical's CEO Richard Forsberg. Installation and first patient start are planned for the first quarter of 2026.
