Everysport Group AB (publ) (“Everysport”) announces today that the site EliteProspects.com (“Elite Prospects”) has reached a new traffic record of nearly 1.7 million unique visitors during a week, which is an increase of 10.5 percent from previously record week. The number of visitors is the highest ever recorded for the site which was driven by the recently concluded World Junior Ice Hockey Championship, headlined by rising star Connor Bedard, whose profile alone was viewed by over 245,000 unique visitors in the first week of 2023.

Traffic to Elite Prospects has experienced exceptional growth over the past five years, increasing the number of unique visitors from approximately 16 million in 2017 to approximately 40 million in 2022, an increase of 145 percent. The site continues to gain market share internationally, for example traffic in North America has increased by approximately 224 percent during the same period and the number of unique visitors amounted to 23.4 million in 2022. North America alone accounts for 60 percent of the site's total number of users.

What has now brought extra traffic to the site is the recently concluded World Junior Championship which was held between December 26, 2022 and January 5, 2023. The rising star Connor Bedard attracted a lot of attention during the tournament and his profile was viewed by over 245,000 unique visitors during a week, which is also a traffic record for a single player. The site's previous record of close to 1.5 million unique visitors in one week was set during the NHL draft in the fall of 2020.

Elite Prospects is used by hockey fans as well as those active in the sport and offers a premium service for more in-depth analysis, editorial content and expanded statistics and profiling of the database's hockey players. The site is continuously developed and during 2022 investments were made with the aim of increasing the added value for users by, among other things, adding social components and new data points around the players, which leads to higher monetization per user. Number of paying subscribers reached almost 18,000 in the fourth quarter of 2022, which is an increase of over 12 percent compared to the third quarter of 2022.
