Avinor has placed a new order for a SeaRanger system for Sørkjosen Airport, as part of its mission to maintain the highest safety standards at airports located near water.
Avinor, the operator responsible for Norway’s airport infrastructure, has made a new safety investment by ordering an additional SeaRanger system – this time for Sørkjosen Airport in Northern Norway. The airport is located directly adjacent to water, which places high demands on rapid and reliable rescue capabilities.
SeaRanger is Safe at Sea’s biggest boat system developed in close collaboration with the South African National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI). Designed to perform under demanding conditions, the system is known for its high load capacity, excellent maneuverability, and reliable stability in rough waters.
"We are very pleased that Avinor has once again chosen SeaRanger as part of its safety solution. This new order reflects the strong long-term partnership between our organizations, and we are proud to continue supporting Avinor in their important safety work," says Lukas Brehm, Vice President.
Delivery of the system is scheduled for Q2 2025, with an order value of approximately SEK 650,000.
