Beyond Frames Entertainment has joined Säkerhets- och försvarsföretagen (SOFF), the Swedish Security and Defence Industry Association, as the company continues to expand its work in immersive technology beyond games and into the growing military simulation and training market. 

Beyond Frames has worked with VR and immersive technology for more than a decade. Through that work, the company has built extensive experience in real-time 3D, simulation and virtual environments, which are complementary capabilities that can also be applied within defence and security.

Beyond Frames sees several potential applications for its technology and expertise within this market, including military simulation and training, operator training, mission rehearsal, unmanned and drone systems, vehicle and equipment simulation, multi-user tactical training and other immersive training environments.

“We’ve been building VR products for over ten years, and along the way we’ve picked up a lot of knowledge about how people learn and react inside simulated environments. Joining SOFF gives us a way to bring that into conversations with the defence and security sector, which is where we think it can have real impact,” says Ace St. Germain, CEO of Beyond Frames Entertainment. 

SOFF brings together companies working within Sweden’s security and defence sector and works to strengthen the conditions for the industry in Sweden and internationally.

The membership will provide Beyond Frames with deeper insight into the defence and security sector, while creating opportunities to engage with industry participants and identify areas where the company’s expertise in immersive technology, simulation and virtual training can be applied.
