Xoma's collaboration with the mining giant Boliden, with the aim of taking the Flow technology from technical verification to practical industrial implementation, has advanced to the next phase. This is stated by CEO Mourad Lahdo in a press release with comments ahead of 2026.The next phase concerns producing the decision basis for a pilot plant."Provided that the technology can be demonstrated to work at industrial scale - for example through a pilot and thereafter a full-scale installation - the potential for broader commercial adoption in a well-capitalized industry with strong investment capacity and long-term permitting horizons is considered significant", says Lahdo.Flow is a microalgae-based technology for industrial water treatment developed by Xoma.
