The coffee machine manufacturer Sjöstrand Coffee increased revenue and sharply reduced its loss in the first quarter. The company sees good opportunities to improve growth and profitability during the year.Revenue rose 57.1 percent to SEK 11 million (7).Operating profit was SEK -0.7 million (-2.5). Profit after tax was SEK -0.8 million (-2.5). Earnings per share amounted to SEK -0.25 (-0.78)."Sjöstrand has started 2026 with a very strong first quarter, where revenue increased sharply compared with the same period last year. E-commerce grew by 33 percent, Wholesale increased by 85 percent and hotel sales rose by 51 percent. The performance reflects our structured work to strengthen all sales channels and increase our presence in our key markets," CEO John Ekeberg says in a comment. He points out that the company's own e-commerce is on plan and coffee sales have increased by 73 percent. The subscription service increased by 212 percent. "We have several ongoing initiatives to optimize and strengthen profitability. Particular focus is on logistics, where we see significant opportunities for efficiencies. Work to optimize our processes and adjust the cost base continues continuously during the year, with the aim of reaching profitability in 2026.
