Finwire about Aike Media AB: Aike Media Files for Bankruptcy

The influencer company Aike Media and its wholly owned subsidiary Collabs are filing for bankruptcy at Stockholm District Court. The decision follows a longer period of liquidity problems and failed attempts to secure financing or sell the business. The company states that the board and management have contributed more than SEK 8 million through loans, waiver of compensation, and conversion of claims into shares. "It is the board's assessment that the Companies' underlying business model and platform have had commercial value. The negative development has mainly been driven by insufficient liquidity rather than structural operational problems. Despite a very active and intensive effort with alternative solutions, where several of these have achieved significant progress, the board has concluded that no final agreement could be completed within the time frame available to manage the Companies' urgent obligations", writes the board in a comment and continues."The board of each company has therefore assessed that continued operation is not compatible with the rules of the Companies Act on capital deficiency and that the application for bankruptcy is the responsible decision in the situation that has arisen."Aike Media has fallen by 99.9 percent on Spotlight over the past three years and the market value is only SEK 2.9 million.
