The rental company Freetrailer and Byggmax are ending their partnership when the current agreement expires in February 2027. According to Freetrailer, the parties have not been able to agree on an extension after several months of negotiations.The agreement corresponds to less than 3 percent of Freetrailer’s revenue, and the company states that the forecast for 2026 is unaffected. At the same time, Freetrailer says that work on new partner dialogues and optimization of the Swedish operations continues."We are always disappointed when partnerships end, and Byggmax has been an important partner in building up our Swedish market, where the partnership has helped create both scale and awareness of Freetrailer. Since the agreement runs until the end of February 2027, we have time to work purposefully with alternative locations, new partner dialogues and optimization of the Swedish capacity. Our ambitions in Sweden remain unchanged, but we must develop the market in the right way – with strong locations, high capacity utilization and partnerships where both parties actively contribute to creating results", says Thomas Zeihlund, CEO of Freetrailer Group.
