The high inventory build-up among wholesalers, which characterized the start of the year, has gradually evened out during the second quarter and is now at a more normal seasonal level. The individual quarter is heavily affected by temporary factors, such as currency effects and variations in revenue. To get a more accurate picture, the half-year should therefore be viewed as a whole. With revenue growth of about 35 percent during the first half of the year, an operating margin of around 29 percent is assessed to provide a more accurate picture of the underlying profitability of the business," writes CEO Babak Esfahani.
