The life science company Acucort's study on patients' preferences for Zeqmelit compared with conventional betamethasone tablets has, following peer review, been published in the scientific journal Journal of Market Access & Health Policy. This is stated in a press release. The study shows that the preference for the orally disintegrating film remains strong even when factors including patient characteristics, medical history and experience of the treatment are taken into account. In the earlier real-world study ZEQ001, 69 percent preferred Zeqmelit after six months, while 3 percent preferred tablets and 28 percent had no preference. The results also indicate that the preference for Zeqmelit may be particularly high among patients with a medical history suggesting high sensitivity to acute treatment situations.
