Windon Energy has, together with Encyon and Damax, been awarded funding from the government agency Vinnova as part of the Skärgårdskraft innovation project. Total support for the project amounts to SEK 3.7 million, of which Windon's share amounts to SEK 1.6 million, according to a press release. The project gives Windon the opportunity to develop and validate a new transportable battery solution with 60% funding and at the same time evaluate a potentially new business model with recurring revenue.The purpose of the project is to develop and validate transportable battery solutions for environments where access to the electricity grid is limited and where diesel generators are often used today, for example in contracting operations and archipelago environments.The project runs until June 2028 and includes, among other things, technical development, construction of a transportable battery prototype and at least six months of pilot operation in a real-world environment.
