Press release from Companies
Publicerat: 2025-12-15 15:00:00
Carbiotix AB (publ) ("Carbiotix" or the “Company") provides additional clarity on two previously communicated Joint Commercial Development Agreement (JCDA) projects and how they will open new market opportunities. On 8th of December, Carbiotix announced it’s intention to sign two additional JCDAs before the end of the year. The first JCDA project will be with a leading global producer of oils from soya bean, serving multiple markets worldwide, and will provide a key substitute extract rich in fibre and protein. The second JCDA project will be with a technical partner, representing the Company’s first technical partner, JCDA, and aims to bring to market meat analogues enriched with fibre and protein-rich extracts.
Erik Deaner, CEO of Carbiotix, comments:
“On this last day of trading Carbiotix stock, I thought it would be valuable for investors to better understand the two previously communicated JCDA projects we intend to sign and starting before the end of the year.
The first JCDA project will be with a leader in the production of oils from soya beans. In our examination of many plant-based side-streams from around the world, we have always been very interested in identifying side-streams that will provide a fibre and protein-rich extract that could be generated in very large volumes, in many geographic locations, and that could substitute the extracts we can generate from different cereals such as corn, wheat, barley and oats. Soya meal, the side-stream product from soya bean oil extraction, represents such a side-stream and the JCDA project partner in question is very keen on realising its full commercial potential.
The second JCDA project will be with a company positioning itself to be a leader in the production of High Moisture Meat Analogues (HMMA). These meat analogues will allow for the production of meat hybrid products, that are more climate friendly, and where up to 40% of the meat product is based on HMMAs. For Carbiotix, this represents an opportunity to help the customer create HMMAs enriched with fibre and protein extracts derived from different plant-based side-streams and a new potentially large channel to market.”
